Maruti Suzuki has officially unveiled its much-awaited mid-size SUV, the Victoris, in India today. Streaming live on Maruti Suzuki’s official YouTube channel, the event marks a significant moment for the brand as it introduces one of its most premium offerings under the Arena lineup.
The Victoris (codenamed Escudo during development) is designed to rival segment leaders like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. With bold styling, advanced features, and Maruti’s first-ever Level-2 ADAS technology in India, the SUV is already creating a buzz among enthusiasts.

It also offers Alexa voice assistant integration for added convenience. In a first, the Victoris introduces an underbody CNG tank, ensuring more usable boot space. Adding to its modern appeal is a 26.03 cm (10.25-inch) fully digital instrument cluster, giving the cabin a high-tech, futuristic feel.

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris will be available with a range of powertrain options. Buyers can choose between a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology or a 1.5-litre strong hybrid unit. The petrol variant also gets a factory-fitted CNG option with an underbody tank, ensuring no compromise on boot space. Like the Grand Vitara, the Victoris offers an AWD system paired with the 1.5-litre automatic. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic, and an e-CVT for the hybrid.
