Official bookings for Sierra are set to begin on 16 December 2025, with first deliveries expected around 15 January 2026.
What Each Variant Offers
- Smart+ – Entry-level trim, but comes decently equipped with essentials: LED DRLs, disc brakes on all wheels, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, 17″ wheels, basic safety like airbags & TPMS.
- Pure / Pure+ – Adds convenience and comfort: touchscreen infotainment, wireless Android Auto / Apple CarPlay, auto-headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone climate control, sunroof (in Pure+), and nicer interiors.
- Adventure / Adventure+ – Aimed at value-driven buyers wanting more SUV-like flair: larger wheels, better ride height/suspension, more features, appealing practicality for city + highway + occasional rough roads.
- Diesel & Turbo-Petrol Options – Customers get flexibility: a 1.5 NA petrol, a 1.5 turbo-petrol (160 hp / 255 Nm), and a 1.5 diesel (118 hp / 260–280 Nm), so you can choose based on budget, driving style and fuel preference.
Interior and feature-list also seem strong — expected qualities include generous boot space, modern infotainment, sunroof (higher trims), good cabin ergonomics and overall comfort.
Where Sierra Fits — Segment & Competition
With these prices and variants, Sierra positions itself just below Tata Harrier but above Tata Curvv, giving buyers a “mid-size SUV with premium aspirations but reasonable pricing”.
In effect, Sierra aims to compete with SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq / Volkswagen Taigun etc. — offering a mix of competitive pricing, Tata robustness, and a feature-loaded cabin.
Verdict — Who Should Watch This Space
If you are:
- Looking for a newly launched SUV with multiple engine & transmission options,
- Wanting a SUV with decent space, modern features, and a variety of trims to pick from,
- Budget conscious but don’t want to compromise on comfort and practicality —
Then Sierra’s new price list makes it a very promising option. The base Smart+ trim starts at just ₹11.49 lakh (ex-showroom) — extremely competitive for a modern SUV.
However — keep in mind: top-end variants (Accomplished, Accomplished+) don’t yet have official prices — so the final “fully-loaded Sierra cost” remains to be seen.
Stay tuned to GaadiBuzz — once Tata announces the pricing for the top two variants and delivery begins, we’ll bring you a full feature-by-feature analysis, on-road price breakdowns for different cities, and a comparison with its rivals. Don’t miss it!
